Day Visitor

This summer, the World Scout Jamboree, the largest event of the Scout Movement in the world, will be held in Kirara-hama, Yamaguchi prefecture, from 30th July to 6th August 2015 with the participation of youths from Japan and overseas.

To provide an opportunity to deepen understanding of the significance of the Scout Movement and experience the Jamboree, a Day Visitor Programme will be offered. The admission ticket for the Day Visitor Programme should be purchased in advance. Please refer to the Day Visitor information on the Jamboree website and proceed with registration.

Number of Day Visitors

Everyone is eligible to join the Day Visitor programme, regardless of whether they are active members of the Scout Movement. To secure enough parking spaces and avoid overcrowding, the maximum number of visitors is limited to 5,000 per day. The total number of Day Visitors expected during the Jamboree is 30,000.

Schedule

The reception desk at the Welcome Centre will open at 9:00, and Day Visitors may stay at the Jamboree site until 17:00. Please pay attention to information updates.

Visiting area and guided tour

After the check-in at the Welcome Centre, Day Visitors will be conducted on a guided tour of the Jamboree site by ISTs of the Guest Services Department. Day Visitors will be able to visit the public access areas such as the World Scout Centre and the Plaza, but will not be permitted to enter the Sub Camp Areas where the Scouts stay.

Registration

Day Visitor tickets can be booked and purchased online using a credit card. (For purchase within Japan, payment at convenience stores and ATMs is also available). If you wish to visit the Jamboree site for more than one day, you will need to purchase a Day Visitor ticket for each day of your visit. Note that if capacity is reached, no more tickets will be sold for that day.

Since the number is limited, Day Visitors are advised to register prior to arrival. If the number of Day Visitors exceeds the capacity of the Parking area and the Arena, on-the-day registration will be suspended.
